A few random shots from Boulder.

Tim wanted this picture, but was too chicken to get up there with her ...

Tim shows us the size of the gold mine he's sitting on.

Boulder

A business trip took me to Boulder, Colorado for the first time, so as is my custom I arrived a day early and looked around a bit. Boulder sits at the base of the Rocky Mountains, so on the advice of a friend, I traveled up to the entrance to Rock Mountain National Park. I was expecting lots of snow, but while it was cold, there was only a small amount of snow to be seen.

Along the side of he road, a frozen creek.

A close up. You can see that water is still running underneath and around the ice.

The hills along the way. It's so different from what I'm used to J.

I have no idea how you get up there, but houses on the hillsides here afford an incredible view.

A meadow just outside the park entrance. This is about as much snow as I saw anywhere.

The park entrance. Since mine was just a quick visit, it didn't make sense to go further. The Rockies, of course, in the background. Look at the flag also, it was very windy up there.
